RapidChange is a group of successful business leaders, cognitive brain researchers and organizational development experts who have collaborated for more than 20 years to help groups merge, change directions, recover from catastrophe and improve outcomes.


The Group’s research and experience produces programs that go "with the grain of human nature" rather than fighting against it. We focus on translating the latest in supportable brain research into practical tools, not complex systems or procedures. Simple, not simplistic.

RapidChange has worked with large companies (DuPont, IP, Coca-Cola), re-organized companies (Louisiana-Pacific, NewPage, Forum Communications) and public institutions to manage stress, create civil discourse, make better decisions, improve efficiency, decrease bad communication and build organizational courage.

Who we are.


M. Daniel Suwyn
After 20 years as an award-winning newspaper reporter and editor (and RapidChange client), Suwyn became president and owner of the company in 2006. After years of cynicism about brain research, he became the client who liked the product so much he bought the company!

As chief storyteller at RCG, his focus is on using brain biology to replace physics as the framework for solving problems and making decisions. Physics is a binary language of 1s and 0s, either/or, yes and no. As humans we have the animal kingdom’s most developed pre-front cortex, the part of our brain that allows us to to see multiple possibilities in every situation. What exists between black and white is not gray, but the entire spectrum of color. We must apply that same metaphor to how we innovate and solve societal and institutional problems.

Ruth Skeens Ruth Skeens
With 15 years experience as an operations manager in manufacturing with DuPont, our Lead Instructor and Curriculum Development Director Ruth Skeens successfully led the turn-around of traditional cultures. For the last 11 years, Ruth has worked as a senior faculty member, helping organizations, domestically and internationally, in the application and continued usage of innovative RapidChange methods and tools. ruth.skeens@rapidchange.com


Barbara Arney
Barbara's innovative approach to employee engagement, has been instrumental in organization "turnarounds" in family businesses and Fortune 500 companies throughout North America, Asia, Middle East and the West Indies. Kim Bockius-Suwyn
With almost 25 years of experience developing marketing strategies at both for-profit and non-profit companies, Kim Bockius-Suwyn strives to integrate organizational development and internal communications tools to further grow the RC philosophy.
